March 10 finally arrived and we finally performed our pieces which we have been preparing for so long.
This marks my debut as a soloist in a choir as I sang the opening number to kick-off the choir concert. I was super nervous and my parents told me they could see it in my face during the opening performance. But nonetheless, I feel very honoured to have been given the opportunity and am very grateful for the trust that my teachers have given me to do this.
My good fried Daniel is in this photo of out Tenor and Bass sections of our choir.
We performed songs such as “DaliBingBong”, “Be Still My Soul”, “Be The Change” and “Iddem-Dem Mallida”. However, the song that was the most memorable to me was our Secondary 4 Level Item: “Mae-e”. This song holds deep meaning within the senior members of the choir, as it had been performed by previous graduating members as a final song.
All with 2 encores songs performed, it also marked the end of my journey with Fairfield Secondary School Choir. I will really miss the choir as it is the part of school that I enjoy the most.
